Watchseries; "Capitani" is nothing great. Interesting but not a masterpiece. What really caught my eye was the setting. When was the last time that you saw Luxembourg depicted?* I mean, what's it known for except castles and banking?
Anyway, the series is OK if you have nothing else to do.
*For the record, I recently saw "Quiet Days in Clichy", which featured a scene set in Luxembourg.

Capitani watchseries. What can one say, from the scenes, the setting, the intrigue its all there great to watch and the plot has a lot of twists, makes you wonder who done it till the end.
This series, from the small country of Luxembourg, follows Luc Capitani, a detective from the south of the country, who is investigating the death of fifteen year old Jenny Engel and the disappearance of her twin Tanja. He is assisted by two local police officers, Elsa Ley and Joe Mores. As the investigation proceeds various suspects and motives emerge, getting to the truth in this close-knit community won't be easy though. Expect plenty of twists.
This is the first series I've seen from Luxembourg and I must say it was pretty good; certainly better than one might expect from a country with the population of a medium sized city. The characters are good and varied and the central mystery is engrossing... enough for me to watch it over three nights. The locations aren't hugely varied but the woods, where Jenny was found, is atmospheric and the village is scenic. The cast does a fine job bringing their characters to life. The ending nicely wraps up the main case but other events set things up for a second season... let's hope we get one. Overall I'd definitely recommend this to fans of murder-mysteries looking for a series set somewhere a little different.
These comments are based on watching the series in Luxembourgish with English subtitles.
Made a change from Nordic and French shows that we watch a lot of. Not quite up there with the very best, but good none the less. Decent story, acting and production.
The police in this series are of such astonishing incompetence that i watched to the finish merely to vent a lot of built up rage. The police subordinates are incapable of obeying direct orders, the title figure spends a lot of his time wandering around in locales that make him unreachable by his subordinates or people in need of police attention. An the subplots are just plain silly, if not usually distasteful.
Really. just plain terrible. Avoid this series for your mental health!
I enjoyed watching this clever whodunit , it's a fast paced mystery that involves different plots and several storylines , which connect nicely at the end with engaging characters and great acting , you should watch the subtitled version and not the dubbed one. There are 12 episodes of 30 minutes each , I recommend it for murder/mystery fans !
