In a small Texas town, popular teen Kate, is abducted. Seemingly unrelated, a girl named Jeanette goes from being a sweet, awkward outside to the most popular girl in town, but by 1995 she has become the most despised person in America.
Watchseries; Her character is bad in 1993, 1994 and 1995. I get anxious when her scenes are on. No one should use their mouth that much to talk, adding to the over-acting even more.

Already a bunch of twists and turns ... love the 3 year , back and forth with hair, make up and total look of character change with the events ... not hard to follow. Just wish I didn't have to wait for the next episode, gotten so used to Netflix and such being able to watch things all at once.
I think Ms. Jessica Biel has found another calling , she is really an excellent producer of good stories.

FreeForm finally has as show worth watching. Cruel Summer provides an interesting and well executed idea of moving between the same day at three one-year intervals. I give kudos to the writers for the ability to pull this off well. But this show also has interesting characters and plot twists. The two main characters are both good and evil and you're never sure who to believe. The two leads give strong performances. There were a couple episodes that fell a little flat. But mostly this show was well paced and compelling. The final episode (season 1, episode 10) was especially well done.

This easily became one of my top shows in 2021. The plot is always interesting as you slowly begin to realize both girls aren't being completely honest. I loved that both of them aren't a definite hero or villain and after every twist and turn it becomes more difficult to uncover the actual truth. The finale also managed to tie up most loose ends and was really shocking. This show is really good, watch it!

So far this show was not at all what I was expecting, especially from a FreeForm show. The acting is great, and the twists and turns are better. Definitely catch it if you get the chance.
