A young couple, whose dreams come true when they inherit a beautiful country house, only to find it's both falling apart and inhabited by many of the deceased previous residents.
Watchseries; The hippie the middleaged boy scout and the victorian woman are great characters. I want to know how the jazz singer died but after the third episode they kind of are running out of material and the jokes get tired.

Ghosts 2021 watchseries. Come on y'all! Why are some of you wonderful reviewers literally flaming this series so quickly? This is just the pilot. Wouldn't it be prudent to first see if it has "legs" before you decide to "decapitate" it completely?
Sure, it's a "remake." Yes, it's not the BBC. Of course, it's American. But it has potential.
A few years ago I remember reading the initial IMDb user reviews on the new series, "What We Do in the Shadows." Some of the reviews were deplorable, even mean spirited. And now, 2021, it's a hit series doing great in season 3. But it took a full season to catch on with the masses.
Lastly, please don't blame the actors if you don't like their characters. They're actors, not ghosts, and they've been given a script that they are required to execute. It's how they make their living. If you don't like a character, blame the writers. It's their "invention." I must give these actors a lot of credit. It's a large cast and in less than an hour we're supposed to get to know them all. It's going to take a tad longer I suspect.
Let's give Ghosts a chance. If it's truly bad, I'll amend my review. Promise.

It's yet another rip off of a 3 seasons deep already running UK show of the same name and exact same format. Like when the Americans copied the office, inbetweeners and more.
O and it's also poor in comparison.

Another show Americanizing a BBC show...This is not all that funny and the ghosts are not as good as the British version. There was no need to make this.

And that was 2 chances too many. I try to not be cynical and keep an open mind, but, as always, American network television sees something foreign, especially British and says 'We really like that - we want to do that' and then removes the very things that make these shows special and resort to the same old formulas - and this show has done a GREAT job of that. The humor is about as predictable as a Jay Leno Tonight Show punchline. It's as bland as a Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show monologue and it looks, and sounds, like it was written for children because of the annoying cadence of the character's banter. Sort of what made Friends so painful to watch.
In the old days, I could say 'thankfully this show will not be around very long' but I've come to realize that bad shows, even with poor ratings, can thrive. I don't know how that happens, but it does. I expect this show will be around for a long time. Mediocrity is quite popular. How many seasons was Big Bang Theory on for?

I have not seen the British version, but I found this show very funny and original. Lots of fun quirky characters and I laughed out loud, which I rarely do. Great addition to the Thursday lineup.
