Watchseries; Arguably the Phase IV of the MCU has had some hits and misses, but this one is definitely a hit.

Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye might not have super powers, but he makes up for it in amazing charisma, seeing back as Clint Barton is definitely a Holiday treat.

Hailee Steinfeld might be new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but her wit and badassery makes her a joyful addition to this great franchise.

The first two episodes were funny, exciting, emotional, and thrilling, everything we have come to expect from the MCU.

In Marvel We Trust.

Hawkeye watchseries. This series is light and action packed, it's great for kids, but I'm finding the plot too light and have moments of boredom and that wish something would happen.

It has a quirky appeal and the action scenes are very slick, but it's not a show that I'm waiting to appear each week, due to the thin story it's not building that level of interest.

NOTE: I've seen 2 episodes.

Noticeable ADR (counted at least 4 on these 2 episodes), visible editing cuts and patchwork on scene transitions and action (Hailee grunts way too much). A bit slow paced and with bits that feel like.. filler. The dialogue is lacking and the action scenes are predictable. Convenient situations and a weird tone. The character of Kate is a tad annoying and childish.. which I would have expected someone a bit more serious and mature for the role, specially seeing how she became motivated.

On the other hand, the animated intro and outro are really well done! And a proper reminder of the comic this is based on. Has good production values (although it still "feels" TV), and a few moments here and there. Interesting characters being used for villains. "Jack Duquesne", really? I remember him from the 1966 animated series! Echo on the other hand is a nice surprise. Being set on Xmas is a plus for me, and the character of Hawkeye being visibly tired (and going deaf? Nice added detail) is the only acceptable detail of this series so far.. which completely makes sense at this point.

So far, sadly, the first 2 episodes lowered my expectations by quite a margin. But I really hope it ends up being as fun as the trailer made it to be.. like a super-hero-world Home-Alone. This introduction should be setting the bar high..

Since the Disney take over of Marvel studios and the very sad passing of Stan Lee the production has gone steadily downhill !

Marvel used to be my favourite I watched and loved the classics from Daredevil Punisher Jade Jones and all the Avenger movies they were classy and well written and performed with a great cast.

Seems like since Disney stepped in all that has gone and the production has taken on a more childlike feel with very mediocre storylines such a shame!

We see ratings here based on 1 or 2 shows, and frankly at that point it was too early in the series to know how it was going to go. They were developing characters, setting the background, establishing plot line. Those who gave this ratings of 1 or 10 stars (or close thereto) really seem to have no idea how to rate anything.

Of course, "valid ratings" and "just my goofy opinion"... they're still ratings. So there's that.

I just watched episode 4, and it was excellent. It's the first episode I've seen that brought real heart to the series. It wasn't just fancy action. The actors have got the "feel" for the parts now. We understand the characters quite a bit better. Looking for things "wrong" with episode 4, I found none. It was terrific.

I'm still rating this with a reserved 7 to see where it goes, but I expect that rating to increase as the show proves itself. The writers seem to know what they're doing, and the "iffy", inept character of Kate is becoming a lot more solid and more skilled as she gains experience. She's still a bit cocky, but such is the bane of youth. The character will likely become less cocky after the first couple of broken ribs.

What's really important is the well... directing, writing, cinematography, acting, music, etc. And they've got it all right. As many people have pointed out, Hawkeye is one of the more unimpressive characters in the Marvel universe. But the writers and Renner especially have really given this character heart.

They admit it in the show: he has no super powers. He's just a very skill archer and martial arts expert with a lot of guts, trying to do what's right and kill as few people in the process as possible (unlike cough Arrow cough. Sorry DC fans but that is one twisted, needs-therapy character.)

Hawkeye is a family man whose past continues to haunt him. We identify with this character. Thus far in this series, episode 4 is not only the best yet, but among the best of this genre we've seen to date. They're really pulling it off-- so far. If they can keep it up, they've got a winner here.

Hawkeye continues with the adventures of Clint Barton/Hawkeye(Jeremy Renner), after the events of Avengers: Endgame(2019). It follows Kate Bishop(Hailee Steinfeld), who's keen to follow in Hawkeye's footsteps. Clint Barton & Kate Bishop run into some trouble along the way.

Hawkeye is a good show. However, two episodes in & it's at the bottom of the pack among the Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ shows, consisting of WandaVision(2021), The Falcon and the Winter Soldier(2021), Loki(2021-) & What If...?(2021-). It moves along quite slowly, with barely any action set pieces in the episodes aired, so far. The one-liners are funny, like they are in all Marvel projects. Jeremy Renner is brilliant as Clint Barton/Hawkeye. Hailee Steinfeld is the star of the show as Kate Bishop. Looking forward to seeing more of Hailee Steinfeld's character in the future of the MCU, due to her spectacular performance. Renner & Steinfeld share delightful camaraderie in all their scenes together & carry the show on their shoulders. Vera Farmiga is awesome as Eleanor Bishop. Tony Dalton is superb as Jack Duquesne. The supporting cast is great. I have hope that this show will get more engaging, as the episodes go on. Watch Hawkeye if you're a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan. Just watch the first two episodes, with low expectations.
