Watchseries; The first 2 episode are really boring. Nothing really happens and most of the time you have no idea what's going on.
But after that it gets more to the heart of the show and I thought it was quite entertaining.
The 1920s storyline was a hell of a lot more interesting than the present day storyline, though.
I hope it gets a season 2 just to see where it goes. Clearly the budget on this wasn't very high, so it can only get better in terms of effects.

Jupiter's Legacy watchseries. Jupiter's Legacy was a pretty good superhero show that's absolutely worth watching! It may start off a little slow for some but give it a few episodes because it gets better and better and is worth it. I've noticed that most of the negative comments are from people that read the comics and are disappointed that the show isn't exactly like the comics. I personally have never read the comics (or even heard of them) so I wasn't expecting anything therefore I wasn't disappointed about anything. The other people who were disappointed were the people who were expecting The Boys. It's not! It's still good in it's own right but The Boys is just on another level. The acting is the best part as Josh Duhamel leads a pretty good cast that are all at the top of their game here! It's too bad it was cancelled because it had a lot of potential to be a pretty good show!
The overall aesthetic is a bit baffling, both high budget but with Battelstar, it still looks low budget sometimes? It's very weird. And then the entire arc of the season is overwritten at parts.
What I found compelling was the contrast and disillusionment between modern day and market crash 20s of America. Paired with the generational gap between supers parents and children, it actually is pretty interesting when it focuses on that stuff.
The problem for me is that as soon as it sets the themes up, it then plateaus for a while, going into a backstory that again, feels overwritten. It begins as interesting and then after a while you want things to clip along and they really don't. Pacing annunciates plot beat problems.
Overall, I find it more interesting than The Boys, as far as alternate supers stories go. Not as good as Watchmen. But not bad either. 7 feels pretty right for it. Seems like they haven't got that good a grasp on it but it's compelling when things go right. Whether they stumbled on the 'right', I guess we'll see - if there's another season.
After classic marvel and DC as well as the darker Umbrella Academy or The Boys, this show is a new way of telling superhero stories. I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery and the unpredictable storytelling.
This show has some of the worst exposition I've ever heard, which is really lazy and disappointing writing. And some of the acting and costumes aren't the best. The story, on the other hand, is really good. I'm a sucker for comic book adaptations anyway, so that might be my biased opinion.
Give it a chance. I did and I enjoyed it.
As its said never judge the book by it cover. If someone watching first couple of episode and making assumptions about it i think he is just being foolish. Trust me this series have so much to share if u binge watch thr whole series.
Best part is the treasure hunt from 1930s timeline and the last episode of Jupiter Legacy opened doors to so many possibilities.
Its more of super hero drama rather being an action movie thats what i felt after wqtching the furst season. Lets hope it will change in season 2.
