Watchseries; This is the worst slime I can remember ever seeing. Truly abominable and gross. Nothing is sacred, not even Santa Claus and Christmas. Everything white and male must be destroyed, defamed and utterly devalued. Please, please don't poison your brain by watching this drek.

Santa Inc. watchseries. This is so bad that it hurts me. The world has never been so divided, and Christmas is supposed to be a nice special time when we all put aside our differences and try to come together. The people who made this clearly hate Christmas on a very deep level. I don't know why, and I don't really care why, but, they have tried to completely destroy a holiday that to me as a Christian is a special time of year. It is too rude and disgusting for children, and it is too boring for adults. I don't know what any of them were thinking when they decided to make this rubbish. I hated it, and from looking at the other reviews, a lot of other people seem to agree. This is not worth watching at all, If you feel like watching a Christmas movie, then Die Hard is always good (if you want action), and Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger is a fun family movie. This dumpster fire needs to be completely erased from history.

Well, I had to see it to believe it. I'm generally contrarian when it comes to extreme reviews and wanted to give this a fair shake.

Perhaps the trailer gave an unfair impression of what was on offer? I mean, there's clearly talent among the animators - some serious time went into creating this.

The visuals and score aren't awful, although we've seen "irreverent" claymation done before. Many, many, many times before. At this point it's more tired out than Sarah Silverman's flip-flopping between blackface and woke.

But the concept and content. Oh my, the concept and content. It's beyond cringe. Bludgeoning, non-stop profanity, smut, and above all, mean spirited loathing. Yes, loathing. The creators of this mess clearly despise absolutely everything about Christmas, and make no secret about it. It's just dunk after dunk after dunk, nothing more.

Well, there is something more. All the reindeer are blacksploitation stereotypes. The beasts of burden, the literal slaves, are cast as black. Just ponder for a second on what that says about Rogen and Silverman.

This is hate piece and a hit piece. Everybody involved, from concept to production to creation must have been aware of what they were making.

So why make it?

Because they could.

To demonstrate supremacy.

It has become self-evident that we are all witnesses to the creative decline of Seth Rogen and Sarah Silverman. I'm not a fan of Christmas films or shows at the best of times, but mocking Christmas' already cliched tropes with such disdain is so lazy, unwatchable and cringe.

No unjustified criticism or speculative conspiracy theories here, just a low-quality limited series. Emphasis on the 'limited'.

There is not much to add here because other commenters have already given the reasons why this is so unbelievably bad.

Forget the out of touch unfunny political take on Santa, who thought it was a good idea to do an animated Christmas movie generally catering to kids infused with some of the most vile language you could think of? What audience did they have in mind? A few political hateful and obscene twitter followers?

Santa Inc (S01, 8 eps, 1/2hr, HBOmax) is best described as: a vile animated swearfest comedy that's only sometimes funny and sometimes insightful and almost always hyperbolically shocking. It's mostly written as a commentary on our social hot topics: gender equality, LGBTQ rights, race biases, but surprisingly free of the political tire fire. It's animated as claymation which makes it easy for them to do "3D" nudity which they love to shock with. The storyline is decent with its "who's to be named the next Santa?" and the cutthroat competition it becomes. This could've been an 8/9 production if there was more mature supervision of the arrested adolescents in the writing room. They left a hook for season two and I'll prolly watch since HBO rarely cancels new shows, but it's not one I look forward to like The Boys, Billions, Black Monday, Loki, Rick & Morty, etc.
