Watchseries; This is a game show! It is not a tv show! I quite enjoyed it. People complain about how American it is, who do you think is paying for it. Americans! I love Korean movies and tv shows, they're great! However, we already saw a Korean version of this game as a scripted tv show. Most customers of Netflix are americans and those same customers also made a Korean tv show the biggest hit that Netflix has ever had in it's history. So, who cares who the contestants are, and there are also some international contestants. Anyway, as I said, I'm quite enjoying it and will gladly continue watching it and also look forward to the next season of the actual tv series.
Also, 278 is a bad person.

Squid Game: The Challenge watchseries. Some people are coming in to watch squid game season 2, but are highly disappointed that they are watching something else and call it rubbish. This is NOT season 2 of our beloved squid game, instead it's an Americanized version of squid game turned into an innocent game show where you don't get killed if you fail. This game show is great, it's full of challenges just like in the series itself where the main prize is 4.56 Million dollars. Whoever came up with this idea has maintained the original concept of squid game, which SHOULD be highly appreciated by the squid game community. Instead, it is being mocked for not being season 2. Guys, come on...

This is a reality challenge, not the TV series. It gives people a chance to play some game and win alot of money. Logistically, catering for 456 people could be a nightmare. The cut room would spend so much time going through interviews, footage, converstions etc just to put something interesting together that make sense. Even the money ball alone is not easy to have glass ball with such heavy weight of money in it.
I think it's fantastic. The staging is incredible. The extra twists are great and the players strategies shown that they are there to win. I'm.enjoying it so far. Great fun to watch while waiting for season 2.

How could the creators of Squid Game: The Challenge totally miss the point of the ordinal show. The original Squid Game is a fictional competition and extreme example of the dehumanization of capitalism (as originally and correctly stated by the Hollywood Reporter). Yet Squid Game: The Challenge is all about the wonders of capitalism when someone comes up with a dumb idea based on a great show. I feel like I just got suckered into wasting 45 minutes of my time.
I don't think I've ever rated a show a "1" before. But this complete rip off with shallow and uninteresting characters who are in real life competing for real money makes no sense whatsoever. What is the point. THIS IS NOT SEASON 2 OF THE REAL SQUID GAMES. It's a realty TV SHOW based on Squid Games. With that said, are we really to believe this was a fair competition? (Search the internet, the competitors will tell you it wasn't) Do we even care?
Don't watch and send Netflix a message that we don't care for this trash.

There's no way this can be mistaken for season 2 of Squid Game- it's very obviously a reality game show spin-off. I'm not the biggest fan of these type of shows, but I gave it a try. Unfortunately, aside from the beautiful set pieces (a la original Squid Game), there is nothing much to crow about. The show focuses on only a handful of annoying stereotypical characters with a loop of cliché "interviews" that suck up screen time, wheras the games should be the star. The manufactured drama, tears, retching sounds (ok, that guy Spencer was so ridiculous, it was hilarious), and just how hard they were trying to be serious was a big turn off. I probably won't make it through the whole thing cuz I just don't care. And I'll die happy if I never here "Let's goooooo" again in my life.
Coming from just watching "The Devils Plan" (which was almost pitch perfect), this was quite lame. Definitely watch that mindbender instead!

First of all, this game show was approved by the creator of Squid Game and he was excited for it too, especially to fill in the time while we wait for season 2 of the actual show. HOWEVER, I do agree with a lot of the negative reviews about the casting. I don't know why all these networks are constantly casting actors/social media influencers in their game shows now. Even the actors in the actual Squid Game show seem more authentic and real than many of these contestants. I don't like how Netflix in all of their reality/game shows always focuses on a select few actors instead of everyone equally. Also, when they said this is a global competition, I was hoping for more people from around the world but the majority seem to be obnoxious and loud Americans while giving zero attention to the other country cast.
Aside from the casting, the game and show itself is AWESOME. It's intense, the set designs are impressive and match the actual show, and they introduced new games and twists to ensure the contestants can't copy the tactics used in the original show, which brings a new dynamic and makes it even more addicting.
I would easily rate this show 10/10 if it weren't for the annoying casting, because everything else is perfect and super fun.
