Rebellious Brooklyn teen Summer Torres is sent to live with family friends in the tiny town of Shorehaven on the Great Ocean Road, Victoria, AUS. Despite her best efforts, Summer falls in love with the town, the people and the surf.
Watchseries; This brought back some old school good summer vibes when people went to the beach and surfed out their issues. There was an air of innocents to this while still remaining relevant. I highly recommend for some lighthearted entertainment.

Surviving Summer watchseries. For what this show is, i really enjoyed it much more then i thought i would, it was a quick binge on Netflix and kind of hoping for a season 2. Wasn't a crazy amount of drama but there was some, great scenery and beaches, surfing scenes were well done.

The show had a lot of potential. The storyline is very bland and predictable, so is the acting at times. The ending was very abrupt and honestly didn't leave me wanting more.

I've watched it with my friends when we were bored and we could not stop laughing. This show is 2/10 only because of the laughs. Otherwise, it's an absolute gutter.
The scenes do not make sense and there is a clear lack of any continuity between them. They either shot the show very weirdly or cut half of it in the cutting room.
Other than that, it is full of cringe interactions and cheesy dialogues.
Last but not least, it is filled with absolutely evident liberal propaganda. Yes, it's completely normal to see your father ironing the shirts, while your mother is in the shed, repairing something. Or a skate ramp...with no boys, just 2 girls skateboarding... I could go on.
The motto of this show is: "Don't think about it." The more you think about anything happening in this show, the more ridiculous and hilarious it gets.
PS: When I read the reviews of 10/10 I had to intervene. This show is something you definitely want to avoid -unless you have 2 braincells or want to get drunk with friends and laugh at it.

Most unlikeable main character i have ever seen in a tv show. Overall weak plot and dialouge. Has some okayish or even good moments but its really rare.
Wouldn't really recommend.

After being lucky enough to view a pre-release of the show, I can thankfully share what a breath of fresh air Surviving Summer is. An entertaining, well-balanced drama that compliments a classic "teen drama" storyline with surf culture in a way that draws viewers to both empathise with the loveable characters, as well as get keen to jump on a board themselves.
