Watchseries; 4 episodes in and this is turning out to be pretty good. My only previous acquaintance with this scandal had been the book Bad Blood from the Wall Street author John Carreyrou which paints the founder of the scam biomedical company Theranos, Elizabeth Holmes, as a cardboard cutout psychopath.
This web series, on the other hand, tries to humanize her and at least makes the audience understand her world from her point of view. It reaffirms my suspicion that Elizabeth definitely had it in her to be a pioneer and iconoclast, just that she was just too impatient and wanted to accomplish everything in life before turning 30.
It's sad that this show isn't catching on as it should have. Also, Amanda Seyfried is pulling off a pretty convincing Elizabeth Holmes.

The Dropout watchseries. The first episode appeared smart and fit the era and then it fell apart in each episode thereafter. I was expecting so much more with such a great talented cast.
The acting is good, but the delivery is not entertaining in any capacity. Yawn!
Wow. Lots of Amanda Seyfried haters here. Ignore them and judge for yourself. Frankly, she's a very accomplished actress and interprets this role with aplomb. I think you'll enjoy it.
Amanda Seyfried is incredible in this. I use to think she was a mediocre actress whom made up for average talent with her stunning good looks. But one episode into this new series and my mind is changed. Now I guess she was often too inexperienced for the roles she played but was cast for her stunning looks. And now I just want to watch her do great things.
Imho, nobody who actually knows great acting can mistake her performance in this for anything other than what it is, which is great.
I think this is very well made, acted, and written. It's an incredible true story about a very intelligent, and ambitious person wishing v to succeed at all costs - even if everything she does is just fake. A great idea is only a great idea unless it actually works!
This is actually good. I never would have put Amanda in this role, but she's doing a solid job.
I LOVE Naveen, and he's excellent, but I think he's too old for this role. But still, he nails it, even given the unrealistic age portrayal between him and Amanda.
IRL she was 19 and he was 30 something. So...do the math. Neither matches up.
Even with that, they give solid portrayals of the characters.
