The North Water tells the story of Patrick Sumner, a disgraced ex army surgeon who signs up as ship's doctor on a whaling expedition to the Arctic. On board he meets Henry Drax, the harpooner, a brutish killer whose amorality has been shaped to fit the harshness of his world.
Watchseries; There has only been two episodes but this is an awesome mini series. Great storyline and landscape. The acting is excellent from Colin Farrell. Very entertaining so far. I see this as a great series that will be one of this years best.

The North Water watchseries. The first episode came out Abit slow ( so was the entire first season of GOT) but the second episode was terrific!
Was glued to the screen the whole time. Can't wait for Episode three.
Don't give up on the first episode just yet. This is a good show.

This show just keeps getting better each episode I watch, just finished episode 4 and I was blow away by it. The acting is fantastic, better than DiCaprio in the revenant and that's saying something. Don't want it to end but now enjoying reading the book. Can't recommend this show enough.

I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered this and was instantly drawn into the world. For a few days after watching it, I kept thinking of that terrible boat and how paranoid and claustrophobic it was.
Colin Farrell is great. Unrecognizable as an animalistic brute terrorizing first the streets of Hull, then the corridors and deck of a creaky whaling ship. But is everything as it seems?
Jack O'Connell plays Patrick Sumner, a doctor with a past battling a morphine addiction.
Impending doom looms large and inevitable as morphine withdrawals.

Bloody fantastic, cruel, brutal. Messedbup series but in a good parabalitic way. Really shows the grittiness of the past history of what some sailors might have gone through. Colin Farrel; wtf, surreal. He didn't could've done Batman justice given the chance. Doesn't even look like the same person.

This is a superb BBC production.
We need more Victorian dirty deeds done dirt cheap.
Tom Courtenay went from "The Loneliness of the long distance Runner " 1962 to this and he still has it ! A great actor and 59 years of greatness.
Colin Farrell is a beyond evil and brilliant, and our morally greyed area main lead , Jack OConnell is exceptional too.
Great sets, great editing, great atmosphere
MORE please.
