The good news - The Proud Family revival "Louder and Prouder" is not the cringey woke fest as some were fearing it might turn out to be like a lot of other TV revivals in recent memory. Elements that people would associate as being 'woke' are actually incorporated organically into the world of The Proud Family. The newer characters that seem designed to either make places like Twitter sing songs of praises or scorn in fury are treated like another character in the cast with likable traits and capability in presenting flaws and making mistakes, and the storylines are pretty accessible and universal so far.
The great news: The voice acting is still as good as it was twenty years ago, and the animation feels limitless in its budget now as well as consistent.
The not-so good news: All the character development Oscar got over the years is virtually gone here, and he has been made into more of a jerk than the well-meaning but overly ambitious and in and over his head family man. The premiere of the revival even goes out of its way to ignore that Oscar did learn to accept Penny growing up and okayed her dating when she would turn 16.
So far, not a bad revival of a series. Hopefully it does not drop the ball in the weeks that follow.

First of all, that theme song is awful. They should have kept the original one because it fit the energy of the show. However, I guess that explains the new song because this reboot is just as bad. It's just bland and trying too hard. I love Keke Palmer and was so excited to see she was going to be a part of this, but I do not like her character. Oscar is even worse, Trudy is super dominant, and I can go on and on but I'm disappointed and this is just NO.

I don't know why this was made but the first two episodes were so cringe and awful, I'd be embarrassed to on cast. The show lacked any shine like the original and felt like it was another deep dive in the bucket as a cash grab from fans that enjoyed the original show.

Amazing first two episodes can't wait til they release more. It's all the same characters and voices. Few left but it's been a long time since proud family ended. But a lot came back and it's the best love the new characters.

This show is simply amazing, the show retains the amazing level of comedy it did back whith the original shows run with more complex issues plagueing todays world and deals with it in a family friendly manner.... anyone that underrates this show clearly doesn't understand the significance this show represents.

This is a show that is very steeped in black culture, and i can see your experience with that being a make or break it thing with how much you enjoy this show.
For me it's both a nostalgic trip and just really funny. It seems to be pushing it the PG rating as hard as it can and I love that.

10/10 this is a black show! FOR THR COMMUNITY FROM OUR CHILDHOOD! These folks are upset they're adding socialism and pro black in the show? UGH HUSH THIS SHOW IS FOR USSSS NOT FOR THE YT PPL! Please...the show came back because of Gen Z and Millennials so it would be a huge slap in the face if they didn't add our problems into the show and show us LOVE.
