A small town in the Northeast is turned upside down when local legend and town namesake, Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms) fights the moving of a historical statue.
Watchseries; Rutherford Falls is pretty good so far! I had expectations for the story, but it actually surprised me with a lot of uniqueness, in both the characters themselves and their relationships with one another. I wish it would air on NBC and not just stream Peacock though. Premium isn't an option for me so I won't be able to finish it, but hopefully I'll manage sooner than later! I actually got an account to watch this show specifically because I had a feeling it would be one I didn't want to miss! It didn't disappoint!

Rutherford Falls watchseries. This is what happens when you have a diverse cast AND writer's room; you get a show where indigenous characters are real people, not caricatures. This show subverts so many stereotypes, and does so in an incredibly entertaining way!

Already binged three episodes and loving it so far.
Is it a diverse cast covering current topics, yes.
Is it funny, yes!
And for those saying it doesn't portray small town life with it's casting, maybe you didn't look hard enough when you were living in that small town. Look again and you'll find plenty of indigenous people, POC and LGBTQ. Maybe this show is specifically meant for you.

It's not traditionally funny like the Office or Parks & Rec, but it was definitely refreshing to watch. Not to mention, I loved that so many Native Americans are featured on this show when they are so often excluded from television and film or are only portrayed in a way that leans more towards a caricature.
I absolutely loved Reagan's character. She has so much heart, and I am glad to see a bigger woman portrayed on screen without being a joke or purely seen as the "bigger girl."

It's SO nice to see native americans as main cast members on tv. This show just started and will have a few things to iron out but so far it's off to a great start.

Ok so I'am indigenous so I started watching because finally a show that I could relate to. It was a painful pilot but by episode 4 I was fully hooked! It has heart and oh god I hope they don't cancel it.
